romping in a jumpsuit

pic1: http://sandraevaldsson.se 2nd & 3rd pics - not sure where they came from...

On hot days like these, the breezy easy of an all-in-one is very appealing.
In fact most days it's an ideal option for someone like me. Someone who is so busy working and chasing after her 2 year old that she barely has time to dress herself.
Sometimes mums dress their babies to look like teeny tiny adults - eg 0000 sized denim jeans with buttons and combat pockets, collared shirts and hair accessories.
I on the other hand, prefer to dress myself like a baby. One soft fleecy item, and I'm good to go.
It's funny. I can spend hours looking at other people's blogs about the effort they put into dressing themselves daily, but can't seem to find the time to wash my hair or find a belt (let alone one that matched my outfit).

crossed wires

A girl at work had this book on an awesome artist called Charlie Harper. Immediately I went online to have a look for some images, and I was inundated with Charlie Sheen pics. Turns out Charlie Harper is the name of his character in 'Two and a half men'. Coincidently, there's another Harper/Artist/Sitcom crossover with Ben Harper in 'My Family'.

I watch you walk in your soft men's shoes

The first image is from: http://artandghosts.typepad.com/. The shoes are a Dr Martens / Stussy collaboration.
Theres something about a pair of desert boots that fill a little void in my inspirational heart. Possibly it traces back to the first pair of Rollers I had. Every time I put them on, I relished the moment. And I'm talking about a rather ugly pair of mens shoes, really. There''s also a vivid memory of those Clarks desert boots back in the day, I would watch the feet of the kids who wore them intensely. The gummy sole looked SO comfy. Were they called moon boots?
Is it normal to feel so impacted by these shoey moments in life? Don't even get me started on what my desire for a pair of kung fu slippers from the asian 'thuc pham a chao tan hong phat' on the corner did to me. I memorised the name of the shop for one thing. How can a pair of $8 slip ons mean so much to a girl of 10?

wild freedom (being free and being bound)

I love these. I didn't realise I was such an equine lover - but these two images are really working for me today. The first looks like paradise to me. If I could live on a beach and ride a beautiful horse through the clean water, I'd probably feel that life was perfect. The second is an amazing leather harness which looks so good in this colour, that I have just bought one of my own! Thanks http://shop.zanabayne.com/
